Academics

No prior knowledge of Mandarin is required for this program. We do offer several levels to accommodate different levels of Mandarin.

This program also provides an in depth study of Chinese culture. We will be going on several field trips and attending various performances, visiting cultural exhibits, etc. to introduce students to the history and culture of this region.

As well, participants will learn Chinese calligraphy, Chinese folk songs, Taiji Quan, Chinese history, and electives that focus on business conditions and economics in China. In addition, we encourage participants to explore the local markets. China is a great place for shopping!! Buy watches and clothing for next to nothing. Learn to barter and strike a deal!
