The program is led by Geoffrey Tindyebwa who lived and taught in East Africa (including Kenya) for 30 years. Mr. Tindyebwa is currently a teacher at Lester B. Pearson College (United World College of the Pacific). He is currently the Coordinator of Languages at Pearson College and Project Advisor for Pearson College Third Year Option in Africa.

Geoffrey obtained his academic and professional qualifications from Makerere University (formerly known as the University of East Africa) in Uganda. He taught in several public and private schools in East Africa, including St Mary?s School in Nairobi where he was the IB Coordinator and Head of English for ten years. His publications include two English Language text books and seven study guides on literary texts by writers like William Shakespeare, Nikolai Gogol and Ngugi wa Thiong?o. He was also a Chief Examiner for Literature in Kenya for fourteen years and the International Baccalaureate Organization (IBO) representative for Eastern and Central Africa for several years. In addition, he is a senior IB examiner; and he has led several workshops on the IB as well as on English A in Africa, Europe and the Americas. Like all faculty members at Pearson College, he is fully involved in co-curricular activities. This year, he is specializing on community services like working with the challenged at Macdonald House and leading his students to help out at the West- Mont elementary school. Geoffrey is married with four children.
