| This program is suitable for all levels of students from beginner to advanced. Although this program is appropriate for all types of French language students, specific instruction is included for students preparing for the International Baccalaureate examination: Ab Initio level, French B Standard and Higher levels, as well as A2 for the proficient student who would like to explore French literature and further their knowledge of contemporary francophone societies.
This is a full immersion program which will develop the participants' communication skills in French. Students will improve their expression and comprehension, and learn about French culture in both its traditional and contemporary forms. Students are placed in groups appropriate to their level following a placement test. There are a maximum of 16 students per class, taught by qualified teachers certified by the French Ministry of Education. In total, there are 3 hours of formal instruction provided a day, in addition to one hour of supervised practice in the language laboratory. In the evenings, we are offering special IB preparation. In addition, students will be going out into the community on field trips, excursions, and doing activities. Conversational skills will be emphasized during these trips and activities. |
